oestrogel in hand luggage??
« on: May 13, 2016, 10:39:12 PM »

Hi
I am going on holiday for a few days soon and flying but not planning on checking a bag.  The oestragel bottle is bigger than 100ml has anyone tried taking it on board?  I cant imagine they will allow it and could be sniffy about me decanting it into a smaller unmarked bottle.  I am going to ring airline but just wondered if anyone had had to get a Dr letter.  I really dont want to pay for checked luggage if I dont have to.

Thank you

There are different rules for meds, just found the below, so just take your prescription with you:

You're allowed to carry essential medicines of more than 100ml in your hand luggage, but you need supporting documentation from a relevant medical professional (eg a letter from your doctor or a copy of your prescription). The same applies for gel packs.

You can also take it decanted and unlabelled like many do with shampoo etc.

Hi Taken oestrogel lots of times in hand luggage.

I always put it in the plastic bag along with other liquids i.e make up. YOU MUST take along a copy of your prescription (just in case) only been asked to see it once at Manchester Airport.
