Indeed they do Taz...I hope you support wholeheartedly  ;D

You know...life is too bloody short to get hung up on the smallest things. If we followed every bit of advice life would be miserable.

I drink whenever I go out, sometimes I can tolerate it, sometimes I can't

We've just returned from a weekend in Windsor, had 2shandys and felt really tipsy, later ate a big meal, tried a Bacardi and couldn't tolerate it so stuck to soft drinks, another night I can drink Bacardi all evening ! So now I try it and decide from there x

Not keen on Iron Bru at all.

I've seen the damage it can do to carpets so can only imagine what it does to your insides.

It's made by Barrs, and they have just announced they won't be giving money back on the empties.
End of an era.

Back from the pub now. I've done my bit to keep it ticking over  ;D  Two glasses of wine lunchtime and then two more tonight. Hmm. That's eight units of my allowance of fourteen already this week..... think I'll start my week tomorrow  ;D

I must admit to having been a heavy drinker in my youth and up to my forties, but wine, never spirits.  Since meno really hit I find I can't take it like I used to so have switched to beer.  If I have a lot of alcohol I wake very wired in the early hours and it sometimes brings on panic attacks.

My OH drinks far too much [a bottle a night sometimes] but he is fit and healthy and says it isn't an issue.

If we followed all the health advice and scare stories we would barely leave the house!

It isn't usual to drink a bottle every night  :o - it is an issue, how does he feel if you suggest he cuts back?

He just ignores me!!  He is trying to go two nights a week without, but it has become a habit.  It is a bottle of wine BTW, not spirits!  I must admit that most of our friends drink a reasonable amount, not a whole bottle, but 2/3 glasses a night would be the norm.
