I'm so sorry to hear about your dog.
I had mine pts last Year so totally understand what you are going through.
Still miss our dog very much.

Oh Peri, I'm so sorry to read this. Just wanted to send you my thoughts. I lost my beloved cat earlier this year and it was hideous. I lost a best friend.  I still can't read The Rainbow Bridge without sobbing. Thinking of you - don't be afraid to cry. Xxx

Hi everyone sorry I haven't posted for a while it's been a hard week.  I'm coping because I have to, got the grandchildren today so no choice, I find it helps to keep busy.  The hardest thing has been coming home to an empty house, I'm so used to  him waiting with a warm welcome, I'm sure you all know what I mean   Also thinking about loss, my parents died very young and I think it doesn't matter whether it's a person or a pet every loss brings back those feelings when it's someone/thing you've loved.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my little dog a few years ago and know exactly what you mean about missing their presence. It's so hard to lose a member of the family.

Give yourself time to grieve and don't stop your tears because you have visitors.  12 years on and I still get a jolt when I find a collar etc. un-expectedly!

These days I allow myself 10 mins each day …….. to remember my pets.  It took time to get to this point.

Lighting a candle in my heart for my little spaniel who went to Rainbow Bridge 24/02/02  .  No one else will remember …… I was awake a lot in the early hours with very mixed memories.

CKLD - I can only try to understand how you feel now that we have a beautiful cocker in our lives courtesy of our son but she spends a lot of time with us.  She was ill the other week and we were so worried and we treat her like a 'child' so it must be dreadful when you lose them.  A lady at work lost her beloved spaniel last week and was off work two days but people just didn't 'get' it.....
