Impetigo is pretty scabby looking, well it was when I had it. Hopefully that's not what you've got CLKD.

I had it as a child apparently - but I don't remember.

I must stop prodding the area  :-X

I had it as teenager. Hands & face were pretty horrid looking. Was off school for a while as terribly infectious. I'd picked it up at school.

Toothpaste works a treat to cool things down.

Cheeky question....are you cleansing your face properly. Maybe need a good toner that removes excess oil.

Normally when I get spots it's down to being lazy about cleaning my face properly. I know you don't wear makeup but skin can get oily and needs a good clean at night before moisturising.

Honeybun - guess you are right.  I haven't needed to cleanse for years  ::) - maybe buy some Clearsil in the morning.

when I used to squeeze a spot there would be 2 the next day, as though the yuk was forced to pop up elsewhere.  And of course my hands were never really clean.

Hormones also cause zits, remember before a period, and they were always on my chin  :(

I wouldn't buy Clearasil, it's far too harsh for...ummm...mature skin.

Boots stuff is good as is Garnier, or even Superdrugs Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish.

Nothing too harsh, it dries out your skin and ends up doing more harm than good to be honest.

oh fgs, so now we have to go back to teenage times too and start with the cleansing again >:(

sporting same spot I told you about on the cheek, and now one to match on the chin ???  I shower twice a day, and now having a suspect infection on the way (again) ditched the nice soap for goats milk soap, so no addiitves or scents either.

goes off muttering 'something else to add to list' ............................

I've cleansed my face and moisturised for years. It's just part of my routine and generally I'm spot free except for the occasional one.

I do wear makeup most days though even if it's only a little bit.
I'm a big fan of hot cloth cleansers. They are gentle on the more ...umm...mature skin.

Last night I used really hot water on the spot/s.  Then patted them hard.  One popped and is now a scar. The other is receding.  Do they disappear on their own  :-\  ::)

It might just go CLKD.

Try some bio oil to minimize the scarring. Works a treat.
