conti or sequi? help
« on: May 29, 2015, 11:26:14 AM »

Hi Ladies

Here I am again still trying to figure out which is best for me.
I've tried micronor although its not hrt but thought it may help with symptoms but I seem to be experiencing a lot of night sweats \flushes several times a night. Arghh since tasking the pill .

My doc did prescribe me everol conti couple of months back (which I didn't take ) as realized that as I am still having irregular periods I should be on a sequi.
However as I'm 53 this year can I use the conti patches I have or should I get a script for sequi?
Would it cause any harm to use them?
As it means I have to pay for another script as I'm not exempt .

Also are there any other well tolerated sequi patches I can get in uk? If I have to take this one.

X

Sorry - not taking HRT so can't be much help.  Have you thought of asking a Pharmacist, they have Private rooms these days.

Hi libra62 - If you use a conti HRT when still getting periods then you may have problems with breakthrough bleeding. I'd go back and ask for a sequi patch or pill which will bring a withdrawal bleed.  If you are getting flushes you need oestrogen to stop these symptoms. DG x
