Walking can ease back pain, it's what I do - 2 Nurofen plus 20 mins. brisk walking.

What area do you consider your 'hips'?

On the outside …….. pain in the groin = hip problems, back pain is sometimes into the sciatica nerve - I have deep pain in the night on the outer side of the bum/hips, due to not standing properly: took me 14 months to discover why - it's like sciatica pain but affects a different nerve route.

It's leaning over cabinets when jewellery hunting that causes that particular problem  :(

not on the outside no, on the inside probably is groin area, gp opinion is worn discs are trapping nerves, as sometimes its one leg, sometimes the other and if iam really lucky both  ;D

Even knowing the cause doesn't lessen the 'ouch' effect though  ::)

my thoughts exactly, makes sense to me what he says about trapping the nerves, just going to try the exercise see if it will strengthen my back and free the nerves
dogs been up chase for an hour not with me though  :(
