Hi TropicalVon 69
What a pity that the doc did not give the one you asked for - still hopefully you will be fine on the Elleste - many women are! I haven't tried this one as I have always used transdermal HRT, but when I first started HRT 8 years ago, I had Evorel sequi patches which had the same progestogen in them (Norethisterone) but they did give me headaches so I have been using progesterone ever since.
Did she give a reason to give you Elleste when you asked for Femoston? I would suggest that anyone reading this who is about to ask for HRT and wants Femoston, should insist that they want this one because the progestogen (Dydrogesterone) is closest to progesterone (and is the nearest to bioidentical HRT that you can get in combi pill form. It is the least related to testosterone and therefore will be less likely to have androgenic effects ( ie spots, acne, hair loss etc).
Hope it goes well TropicalVon and do keep us posted as to how you get on!
