Nurse returns with Ebola …...

apparently she complained of feeling unwell at Heathrow but was allowed to board an internal flight to Glasgow - then she was returned via military vehicle to London …….. she should have taken more responsibility - before she flew out to Sierra Leone she praised the training so surely that training included the Hospital where any sufferers would be treated

She repeatedly reported feeling unwell at Heathrow. Her temperature was taken seven times and found to be normal.
What more could she do.
Quarantine should take place before they travel home I think. Let's be honest, it's better for animals and depending on where they come from they used to spend months in kennels.
Totally ludicrous situation.

I agree. But she should have taken herself off to the Hospital - and now the medication isn't available
………… it could be a cold which may have been exacerbated by tiredness and flying or it may well be ebola …….. if they were barrier nursing she shouldn't have become in contact anyway - something is 'wrong' somewhere …...

She has tested positive for Ebola and is being treated with plasma from people who have recovered.
She should not have travelled at all. There should be a quarantine period in the country that has the infection, not this end.

Yep. But the UK is able to afford to treat those returning whereas in Sierra Leone
and we all like to be home when ill don't we. Maybe anyone returning should be in a holding centre for 4 weeks …….

And get here how.?
If we can build treatment centres then surely we can can build a quarantine area. Then if they become ill bring them home safely and quickly.

Certainly they need support either over there or on return. It will be interesting to see how this virus mutates ……..

A&E are busy places. Understaffed. Not enough cubicles. 'isolation'
.......... anyone inside and did the Nurses gown up prior to entry?
