Weird taste in mouth
« on: September 25, 2014, 05:03:34 PM »

Does anyone else get an awful taste in their mouth - mine comes and goes but I've had it for weeks now alongside an increase in headaches again.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Thanks, :)

Someone asked same couple of months or so ago, try doing search. Answers there may help you.

Yes mummyof2, that's what it reminds me of.....the taste I had in my mouth when I was pregnant.
Hormones have a lot to answer for! :)

I've also had this, difficult to describe to people but its like spraying hairspray or deodorant in your mouth?  ???
Hadn't managed to pin it down to anything specific, until now!  ::)

I get a horrible taste in my mouth, too, not constantly, just every now and again, and for about three days at a time.  For instance, it showed up on Saturday, (my birthday, of course!!), and I find that eating sweet things really doesn't help it.  It is certainly rather metallic - I've not had children, so couldn't say if it is the same as what you get when pregnant! Fortunately, the taste doesn't seem to be the forerunner of a headache, as with some of you.  I find it actually puts me off my food - a disaster, in my case!

When I have it its always worse after having milk, cream, like tea, hot chocolate or cakes?? It's like it sticks to my tongue and leaves a coating on it

Do you eat pine nuts regularly? They can cause this - did to me - I thought there was something wrong with my teeth or something!
