You can get a 10kg box from A..z.. with free postage that's the best price /size I've found ,I put in about a teacup that's what the man in the herbal shop said.

I use about a teacup too.  I found so many different instructions on the internet, including that you must soak for 10 minutes,  at least 40 minutes, never for longer than 20 (why? because I'll turn into a pumpkin?!) , between 10 & 30...amounts varied hugely too.  I started off with a tiny amount and worked up as I wasn't sure how my skin would react.  I usually soak for about 20 minutes as I am not a wallow-in-the-bath type person.  But the results have been AMAZING!  It doesn't just make me feel incredibly relaxed, it wipes out all the joint ache, clears up the soreness and irritation down below, stops my skin itching and feeling dry...psoriasis has been much happier too.  Usually sleep much better the night after a salts bath as well.  In fact, I rabbit on so much to so many people about how wonderful it is that I am rapidly becoming the Official Number One Epsom Salts Bore of Great Britain. ;D

I would call 20 mins a wallow  ;D ………. good book, cuppa, lots of bubbles.

Galadriel - did Aidan stay put or was he like soap, slippery  :-X  :P

I stay in for 20 because the majority of the articles said either 20 or at least 20 minutes, so I thought that was the best to be effective.  I am longing to get out after about 5 minutes but as my joints don't stop aching till I've been in the tub nearly 20 minutes, it's a good incentive to stay put.

I'm always a bit worried about dropping my book into the bath, so I take the gardening catalogues in instead.  At least if I drop those in the tub it means I can't buy any plants so I save myself money  :)

;D  a few years ago I had saved a magazine for weeks - decided to read it in the bath, guess who dropped the WHOLE magazine and that particular page into the bubbles  >:(  ::) - it dried on the radiator but could only read those particular pages  ::) ……..

I love having my feet in a bowl of hot water too  :-X

We don't have a bath at home, just a shower but I'm going down to London this afternoon with my sister and our hotel room has one - guess where I'll be tonight?
