I am also on estradot patch and have good days and not so good days, but it is early for me. I just try not to think about it too much and accept that I'm probably much better than I would be without anything. So long as I have more good days than bad, then it's progress.

I've stuck my patches all over but always below the waist. Only consideration is how to get the sticky residue off when you remove the patch - if it's on your butt, it's a bit harder to see! I'd avoid sensitive skin areas. I'm sure you can use it anywhere if the tum doesn't suit you. Good luck.

Hi been 4 weeks on Estradot 50 and still I feel like crap, miserable, tired, my head feel heavy like its going to fall off my shoulders and I have not slepted properly and have had a few flushes, it feels like really bad PMS, I dont see the meno clinic till the end of March, I thought by now that the Estradot patch would of started to kick in by now but I feel god awful , I am seeing a normal GP on Friday but I dont want to start on AD's, is it still too early should I give it more time , a friend told me it could be down to not enough estrogen but I know need to see a specialist but I dont know if I can last till the end of March feeling like this but it could just be to soon and get better, any advice
I know you must be sick of listening to me moan and I am sorry but I feel horrible and have no one else to talk to
thanks xx

Hi just wanted to reply to your post as you sound so fed up. I think this hrt malarky is a real pain too. I have been on gel, tablets and patches and still not there yet. It is a real pain that we are all different isn't it? But there must be something out there for us, it will just take a little longer. Have you thought of estrone instead of oestradiol, it is still an oestrogen but a milder form which might be better tolerated for your body. There are other choices out there you just need to be aware of them.
