Low blood pressure fluctuations
« on: May 14, 2013, 01:22:09 PM »

Has anyone noticed their bp has fluctuated more doing menopause? I've had a tilt table test showing that my  drops when I go from laying flat to upright, and now my cardio nurse has recommended  a drug called mitrodine (??) to see if that helps with my fatigue etc, as it raises bp.
I am currently taking hrt patches, evorel 100 for oestrogen and have the mirena fitted for prog.

Why yuk?  There's lots of ways to take in sodium.  Not having enough nearly killed my M in L  :o

It is needed to regulate the amount of water in your system lizzog. It's what can kill people who drink too much water i.e. after taken E's or drinking too much while exercising. It's explained a bit here http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/low-blood-sodium/AN00621
