I am sorry it's taken so long to reply back. Yes the anxiety took me by surprise too as very similar to the post natal / over worrying anxiety which I experienced. I certainly didn't expect to feel that way again either. You said that your anxiety feelings are worse since starting the elleste duet 1mg...is it when you are just starting the white tablets or when you are just starting to take the green tablets?
The first few days of the progesterone green tablets my palpitations are noticeable but then it seems to settle down again. I think that the hrt must take months to help out with the anxiety side of things, from what I read here on this great site.
I agree with you that the citalopram makes things slightly worse before it gets better. May be adding the hrt hormones to your body it is just adjusting to things and your anxiety will settle again. Do you feel your other peri menopause symptoms have improved since taking the hrt?
