Hen.......meaning girl/woman.  (hate that one)

You and me both.  My MIL used to call me that, made my blood boil.  I know it's supposedly a term of endearment, but it doesn't make me feel good.  My mum used to tell me to say I was no hen, but a chicken!

Heard one the other day which I hadn't heard in ages - kerfuffle!

Lot of Scottish words - shoogly (wobbly), mawkit (dirty), guddle (mess), gallus (full of yourself), eejit (someone who's daft)

There's no Welsh word for sick as in vomit so no wonder there isn't anything for a microwave  ;D
