Forum ups and downs
« on: January 20, 2024, 10:36:17 AM »

I am delighted that our forum has been a massive help to many people over the years and feedback is generally excellent. However, at times concerning messages are brought to the attention of myself and our moderators. Please only post messages of support, general advice, and with awareness of how they may be perceived. No-one should feel anxious or upset as a result of replies to their questions.
You may want to share your experience, what has worked or not for you, but we are all different and when it comes to prescribed treatments, each decision should be agreed between each individual and their doctor, nurse or pharmacist. No-one else can be fully aware of medical and family history, current medications, diet and lifestyle factors, life situations, which all interplay in coming to a decision. In addition, there is not one treatment which suits everyone, and not one which is "best".
Some advice given is not in line with nationally and internationally agreed guidelines. For accurate and trustworthy information, look firstly on this website (!), and also see our recommended resources at https://www.menopausematters.co.uk/downloads.php
For more about HRT, see a recent article from Menopause Matters magazine at https://www.menopausematters.co.uk/magazine/article-hrt-safe-and-simple.php
Best wishes to all
