femseven sequi to femseven conti
« on: October 26, 2014, 09:09:15 PM »

I am 48 and have not had a period for a year.  The doctor has changed me to femseven conti from femseven sequi.  I have been a week on femseven conti and feel very low in mood :'(. Heart feels like it is racing; not sure if it is that which is making me feel anxious or I am just getting the anxiety back again.

Anyone had this sort of reaction on changing over from sequi to conti and if it calms down after a while or if they had to change product altogether :-\

It's probably the continuous progesterone.  Many women choose to stay on sequi because  of the negative effects of progesterone. At 48 you are probably a bit young to be on continuous HRT  - when you say you haven't had a period for a year, did you come off HRT for this time or were you on HRT but still didn't get withdrawal bleeds?.  If you were on conti HRT for the last year, how did the doctor decide whether you were post meno or not - did he/she do blood tests?  DG x
