One of the ABs is awful, sticks as it goes 'down' so needs LOTS of water - has to be taken after food so need to remember to leave 'room' and not eat as much   ::) - time for another Nurofen.

I've stopped the ABs for 24 hours.  Can't go to the toilet properly so feel nauseaous [sp] and if I can control the pain with Nuforen that will have to do for a while.  At least the emery board feeling has gone  ::)

Are you rinsing with warm salt water, but not forcibly.  That will surely help healing and help keep things clean, but I'm sure you know that.  So sorry about the drug side effects.  I hope you do not have a dry socket.  Has the clot been checked.  I had two dry sockets with my large six year molars and I truly would rather have had a baby.  I hope you start feeling better very very soon.  I'm just up and may have missed some posts.

I stopped due to heart burn and emery board feelings inside.  I didn't need to take Nurofen until mid-day.  The pain has now gone.  My stomach is still growly though  >:( and I have only just dared put my tongue into the socket which is sore.  Better than 7 days' ago though !

Great that the pain is gone.  I had the worst earache as my main symptom.  What a relief!  Hope you get all the way better soon.

Oh Eddie, I hate it when the appt is put off  >:( - I can eat on the other side without too many problems, it's sore but not as much today, haven't needed Nurofen since Friday evening.  I had withdrawal headache all of Sat. but was OK yesterday.  I think there is low grade infection present as my throat is sore and that side of my tongue is sore  ::) and I see the Dentist again next week.  Thanks for asking  :thankyou:

That's good, are you rinsing with corsodyl to prevent infection spreading?
I have decided to see this dentist thing through, if i need a bridge then so be it. Maybe need to address the anxiety too. So 12m today. Eddie. x

I asked a Dental Surgeon why and he said 'because I can stop pain for people' - good enough reason for me  :-*  I have a bottle of something spirited to rinse with but the lid is still tightly fixed, I hate gargling .

I went to Dentist on Monday, finally this new dentist can see ab area of infection, looks quite high up?? Got more antib's, i've to see my own dentist tomorrow for a review? This young dentist was talking about surgery to remove it? I've had that done before, really don't want it, it won't even improve the appearance of my teeth? Hope both CLKD and Taz are recovering well. Eddie. x

3 days without any pain apart from a sudden stab in the socket on waking.
