Hello all, I started testogel 5 months ago and don’t feel any different - can it take this long to work?

What do you want it to help with? Libido, brain function, muscle strength? It works for some, but not all. Maybe give it a bit longer?

Hello kittydaydream
My Newson Health doctor told me that it would be six weeks before I noticed anything however when I didn't feel much different she said sometimes it takes twelve weeks.
I eventually gave up on testosterone because I didn't get a huge benefit but I am very post meno so that may have been a factor.
Perhaps ask to have a blood test to see if you are absorbing it correctly? My GP recently measured my T levels along with my Oestrogen.
I hope this is helpful and take care.
K.

Good advice from Kathleen.
Also, my MS did tell me that if oestrogen levels are suitably optimised, then testosterone can just converted to oestrogen.
Hope it works for you soon.

I found that it was a slow build with testosterone, not immediate.
Keep going and do the bloods at 3 months as you might not be absorbing well.

How was your libido before and how is it now? There are loads of things that can give you fatigue so really just wondering if you might be barking up the wrong tree. I don't think libido is 100% attached to testosterone levels but it's a pretty good indication. I noticed a difference within a couple of weeks but my libido was zero and I had muscle weakness. I agree it would be a good idea to have a blood test before making a decision.
