 :thankyou: Penguin.  My GP referred me to a psychologist initially for phobic anxiety then a home visit by a Psychiatrist when I was very ill.  Unfortunately she arrived with a student  >:( but I was too ill to say 'stay in the car'.   >:( :(.  She did diagnose 22 months cyclical depression: and advised on live long medication.

That's about the cost that I would expect these days.  Worth paying for simply to be listened to.  Also we have much more opportunity to research medics these days though at that time, I would have been too ill even to consider that.  DH probably would have done for me.

Hi both I spoke to the dr and he’s agreed for me to try 40mg paroxetine and 30mg mirtazipine, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this combo will help 🙏
If not I’ll go down the private route
