Eczema caused by perimenopause
« on: July 10, 2024, 08:28:14 PM »

I’ve always had quite dry and sensitive skin will allergies to a lot of products.

When I had my children I developed eczema which I was told was hormone related. This settled down after a while and went back to my normal dry sensitive skin, until recently.

I am finding that my skin in general is even more dry than normal and I now have patches of eczema appearing again 🙄.

I’m assuming it’s all hormone related again and have recently been given steroid cream by my GP

Does anyone else have this or is it just me and my sensitive skin once again 🫤

I too had childhood eczema, and throughout adult life, had small round patches on my lower legs which I control with eumovate. However since peri started, although my overall skin is much drier, the eczema has packed up and gone to my absolute shock. I also had childhood asthma which also seems to have improved.
