Menopause Cafes
« on: June 25, 2024, 08:35:29 AM »

Hi all.

I’m hoping to start a Menopause cafe as there is no support available in my area. Has anyone done this? If so, any advice would be very much appreciated

There are several ideas floating around the Forum from a few years ago.  We don't get feed back though  :-\

Would your Nurse Practitioner - if she has. knowledge of menopause - be prepared to work along side you?  Sometimes Surgeries will hold 'cafes' after hours, because hiring a space can be expensive.

Thank you. It’s in conjunction with our local branch of Mind and no clinical or counselling experience is needed. Just one other facilitator.

I already have free premises, luckily

No experience but it sounds like a great idea. If you can find the old posts you could contact the person directly if they're still on the forum. If you wanted you post where it is as it may be of interest to anyone who lives near. Good luck!

As in '5 miles from X town'

It sounds a great idea. Good Luck!

There are several threads if you do a search.
