Helpppp!!!
« on: June 25, 2024, 07:25:49 AM »

I wrote on here few weeks ago about the fact I was changed from one patch to another patch plus a tablet, I had a really off the planet episode. I decided to go back on my original patches, but I’ve had a bleed this week again , not sure if related but managed to just about fall out with all my friends and near divorce. Super emotional and distressed. What do I do? Do I need to change again? Do I persevere to get original patch back in my system? I seriously need help as it’s like im get PMT X 100, my behaviour was worse than last month next month I don’t even know if I’ll be here. 😰😰😰😰

Could you remind us of what you were taking and what you are taking now?

U could have continued in your original thread and changed the title if necessary ::).  If U are worried then contact your prescribing practionioer  ASAP or ring Samaritans.  Hormones can certainly cause mental health issues.  Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use to chart progress, though that may not help when symptoms strike.

from 27th May 2024 - Help… doctor changed me from
Evorel sequi patches to estraderm mx patch and provera tablets. Only been on them
A week and had a meltdown at weekend. Haven’t been like this since pre-hrt. Would the change in my prescription cause this or would it just be I’ve had a really crap day? Other patches were working away fine but apparently now I’ve been on for 18 months I don’t need the combined patch.

There is a thread from 2022 which I have bounced.

...... and breath.  The body doesn't get where it is suddenly.  Remind me: who is prescribing your regime and have you had a consult with a dedicated menopause specialist?

Hi Dazl20 - that sounds pretty intense, reminds me of when I went off the grid on a previous progesterone I was on that didn't agree with me.

Definitely worth going back to whoever changed your current regime to explain what's happened as it sounds like one of the active agents you're now on isn't agreeing with you.

Hope you get it sorted quickly,

Caroline

I was the same.   My husband would mutter across the room "U should take your own advice more often!"  That was when I was discussing anxiety and phobias in phone calls.

1 of my fears was the the GP would tell me that 'nothing else can be done'.  However, when I was very ill he was wonderful.

Could some1 advocate 4 U?  MIND charity were very helpful and supportive a few years ago when I needed to talk.  Don't give up.  What would you recommend to a patient/friend?

Yes I know I would say go back to doctors and explain what’s happened and also ask to get bloods done.
I haven’t many friends left after my outbursts 😰

You've got us!   U can shout all you like, we won't hear you ;-) but many will have 'been there' etc..

Could U register on a temporary basis at a Surgery less close to home, i.e. if we are on holiday in the UK we are able to do so.  Make a list of your main symptoms, go in and ask the questions.

Or refer to a dedicated menopause clinic?   Do U have some1 to advocate 4 U?
