I feel your pain.

I am exhausted by it. Some days I get fooled thinking things may have finally settled and I wake up to something new (or recurring) and the anxiety kicks in again. It's a vicious cycle. I've just posted another topic about my patches!  ::)

Trixiebell,  glad everything went well today for you. I agree Hycosan are expensive...you have to look out for any offers.....the night gel is less expensive.
It costs a fortune this menopause nightmare with all the creams ,gels, supplements etc..😂.
Remember to keep using the drops regularly in both eyes even though he said one is drier than the other....if you're anything like me the dryness changes from eye to eye and is constant 🤦‍♀️.

I agree with Northern girl.
Don't be lulled into thinking when they feel better you can stop the drops. Keep on taking them and they should be fine.

Thankyou, I did ask the optometrist how long to use them but he didn’t say much
I will be looking out for offers 😳

The eye gel for the night is actually cheaper and will last long.
I completely agree about feeling overwhelmed by all these issues but as someone diagnosed with a much more serious disease last month I suddenly adopted a different perspective: if something can be fixed then you win!  :)

Hi all,

I’ve also suffered with my eyes since going into peri menopause.. so funnily enough my menopause lady had lots of knowledge about this and said that the fluid under our eyelids becomes thicker like butter as we age and hormones change.. he recommendation was to use hot water.. as hot as you can manage and dip cotton wool pads in to it and wipe the eyes downwards a few times.. tye water must be hot though to almost melt the eye fluid.
I’ve done this all week and it’s really worked.. no more watery dry itchy red eyes..

I have this too. I saw an eye specialist at moorfields when I developed an eye condition. He recommended systene eye drops. They help loads. Also make sure you’re drinking at least two litres of water a day. Heated eye masks also help x
