What's stronger than Evorel Sequi
« on: June 16, 2024, 01:37:23 PM »

Hi,

I've been on Evorel Sequi (the ones with the evorel 50 and evorel conti patches) for a few months and I think they are too weak. What can I get that is stronger than them?

Many thanks

You could ask for a 75mcg or 100mcg estradiol only patch and take something else for the progestogen e.g. micronised progesterone or IUS.

Alternatively you could use one and a half or even two of your current patches - that's not unsafe as you are still getting the same ratio of estrogen to progestin, however your GP may not support this.

If you are under a specialist, they may agree to adding in a little extra estrogen only, and keeping your current patches, however this is not something that should be done without medical guidance as you are then increasing estrogen beyond the level of progestin known to provide endometrial protection with that dose.
