There are several Sertraline users on the Forum - mayB put the product name into the search box to read the threads.  Make notes.  If U don't expect side effects they are unlikely to happen.  Let the medication do it's work.

Be careful. Take it slowly and don’t expect an immediate result. You will need to access other “ tools” in the box too. Relaxation, meditation, mindfulness etc can all help.

When I had a horrible panic attack after my hysterectomy, I used calming music and essential oils to help me off the bed and downstairs. I was literally stuck on the bed for over an hour and thought no, I need to get up, eat, move about. It took lots of attempts and determination, but I had to do it.

Aw thanks NAS ....awthat sounds nasty what u went through.

So my anxiety has gone worse since yesterday....I'm not functioning....they say in psych publications that after day 2 the symptoms side effects of withdrawal can get worse

'they' being who?  Where are you accessing 'psych publications' and why?

What do you want us to suggest?  What does your partner suggest?  Do U have access to a mental health team who you are able to contact, MIND were very good as I have mentioned in your other threads .
