Sorry just to say we read it takes 2.5 days to leave body.
I took mine wed at 7.20zm

Do you think it's withdrawal effects cos this feels so heightened.....all the way through taking it I didn't add gel apart from the Sunday n Monday. Then stopped.

Hi Vicky if you’re feeling terrible then call NHS 111. I don’t think we are medically qualified enough to help you. Please call and ask for help.

How long were you on the anti depressant for, Vicki? Was it a few days? If so, you shouldn’t be struggling so much with the withdrawal I wouldn’t have thought?

Are you under any mental health team at present?

There are likely to be many factors contributing to how you are currently feeling and I can’t help thinking much of this is hormonal? You are having an awful peri and obviously you have made some rapid Hrt changes along the way.

Not sure what to suggest at this point. Are you under a menopause specialist or just GP?

The gp said it was too high for me. But?

Even partner said I was more anxious.
Since taper I've had confusion and still heitebed anxiety.
Got call with gynaecologist tomorrow at 9.

Nas does this sound withdrawal to you? I wasn't this bad before day 6 on it x

The thing is, these anti depressants I believe, can make you feel worse before better. If you were on a too high dose to begin with, then it could well be withdrawal.

You definitely need the advice of a medical professional to help you through this now. We can support but can’t advise.

You need that drug out your system so you can get back on an even keel so you can start again to address your hormones.

Unlikely after 8 days to be withdrawal.  Having been on ADs since 1988 if one made me ill I would stop within 4-5 days.  Immediate relief.  Even graduated withdrawal under GP supervision, although difficult, was bearable - having been on that drug for 5 years.

U seem to be reading too much into your symptoms - the suggestion is, that we share experiences but are not medically qualified, that you should contact your GP/Nurse Practitioner or MIND Charity .  The latter gave me a lot of support when a friend ended his Life.  Relaxation therapy or pilates can also be of benefit, under supervision =- support.

Most medication takes at least 3-4 weeks to 'kick in' and altering dosages or product is unlikely to be an instant resolution and certainly not a 'cure'.

I doubt it's withdrawal after 8 days, more likely to be side effects. I was prescribed Citalopram a couple of months ago and never took them because the side effects on the leaflet scared me more than the health anxiety I was prescribed them for. The doctor also warned me in the first couple of weeks I could experience worse anxiety side effects but to ride it through as it will get better.  I didn't try them.  If you are feeling better then the tablets are leaving your system but if you are feeling worse then you need to see a doctor.

Thinking on your many threads Vicky81 - which symptom were you hoping to ease first?  How long did U trial the prescription for?

The body/brain don't get where they are suddenly - issues can creep up due to not eating properly; lack of sleep; lack of exercise ........ my depression developed slowly over several years until I had to begin apporpriate medication .  Panic attacks however take over within seconds  :-\ :'(

How does your partner help?  Is any1 in your family robust with advice and support, i.e. accompanying you to GP appts. or ringing for advice on your behalf?

Do U keep a mood/food/symptom diary to chart feelings, something to discuss with your health provider?

How is your diet overall?  Lack of nourishment can cause many of the symptoms that you R worrying about.  [long story short]

R U hydrated enough?  P should be straw coloured.

Do U smoke or drink instead of eating?  = lack of sustenance may cause energy levels will dip

When did U speak to your GP about all of these, most surgeries have face2face appts. though patients may have to wait.  A&E is another option ; however, with long waiting lists in many Depts..

Make notes about the responses about your worries on your various threads - discharge any that don't help, put any that may be of use onto a separate page.

It took 5 different meds B4 my GP and I found an anti-depressant medication that didn't make me feel ill - within 24 hours.  Over the years as medication improved I have had 5/6 different ADs and never had side effects since.

Relaxation therapy helped me at home.  A deep bubble bath relaxes me but when depressed I was unable to sit still, I was so agitated.  I wanted to 'feel better yesterday' but had to allow the various medication regimes time to work.

Hi
I was on it 8 days then 5 days taper.
Gp this morning said I've had a reaction to it .and that it's side effect hr believe cos withdrawal starts from when it's left body... mine left early hrs this morning.
Honest I'm like a zombie, nothing there , floaty and feeling not in the room with increased anxiety
