Endometrium Biopsy results...anyone with insight?
« on: April 26, 2024, 02:01:29 PM »

Here is the report that I got from the gynaecologist (lab results) - This endometrial biopsy shows evidence of slightly a-typical glands. There is however no stroma present for gland to stroma ratio assessment. Based on the age of the patient a repeat intact endometrial biopsy is advised.
There is no stromal invasion.

Diagnosis- fragmented haemorragic endometrium with fragmented glands. Assessment for hyperplasia is impossible due to frgamentation. No evidence of stromal invasion.

To me this sounds like abnormal cells but no invasive cancer? I see my dr on Tuesday but we had already spoken about a hysterectomy...

Hi BevM, I'm sorry but I don't really understand all the medical terms but I'm sure when you see your GP on Tuesday he will explain everything and advise you as to what the best way forward is.
Please don't worry.

Try not to worry , easier said than done I know, but usually when there's something very serious they call you in straight away.
