Bladder Aching/Cramps
« on: April 11, 2024, 03:56:01 PM »

Just some words of advice needed.
I'm seeing a menopause specialist on the 30th April, due to continued bladder irritation and repeated episodes of thrush.
I have suffered from these symptoms since 2021 and have been prescribed vagifem and ovestin cream, which I use externally.
I was also using Evorel patches, but had to stop due to two large fibroids which appeared to be responding to the patch.
Since stopping the patches they have decreased in size.
I use vagifem and ovestin 5 nights a week and, in the main, they do keep bladder irritation (feeling of needing to pass water too often and soreness when I do), under control.
But I also believe that they may be the cause of thrush which completely knocks my delicate equilibrium awry.
At the moment I have a need to use the toilet more often and have back ache, and a crampy, sore feeling around my bladder - does anyone else feel like this during  a 'flare'.
I'm 61 years of age.
Does anybody agree that my regime may need tweeking?
