Even the word 'Klinik' sends shivers down my spine

Mine too! There are so many irrelevant questions which have to be answered every time (such as whether I have had a recent covid positive test/been exposed to someone with Covid).

Katejo, surely it must be better somewhere else. I've never heard anything like it.
I have just seen a complaint from someone on my local FB page about the practice. Her problems sound similar to mine (to do with abysmal communication). Someone has replied and mentioned a National Friends and Family league of GP practices. Apparently mine is now 5th from bottom!

Planning to move but need to get this prescription sorted first. I was going to wait until the Practice had moved to its new premises but this seems to have been delayed again. I don't know why. It is currently in a 60's prefab building which is falling apart.

Regarding choice of GP, that only applies to hrt appointments as there are 2 or 3 that specialise in that.  It is good though so you don't get someone not clued up .   I did have to book 4 weeks advance but okay if you know this and book early.  I get a years prescription to pick up every 2 months.  I don't know why they are blocking repeats for you. Really awful.

My practice only seems to have 5 regular GP's, 2 partners and 3 salaried. I checked their names today. The one I like has been 'invisible' to me for over 4 years! I suspect that most calls are handled by locums or associates. I remember cancelling my plans and sitting by the phone. I did get the call but she told me she wasn't qualified to advise and I would have to wait for  a call the next day (which never came)!

I also saw bad reviews about my GP practice. Appointments and communication issues. Difficult to find a good one now. I think we would all feel healthier if we had total trust in our health service and practitioners

There's nothing worse than waiting for calls and then told to wait again for nothing.  Is there a practice nurse there you can talk to.  Surely someone knows why it's been taken off.

I am not sure whether the Boots pharmacy was right about it being taken off. I immediately checked my NHS App and it was still listed. I put in my request for a Vagifem prescription again. I haven't had an answer but they did request my blood pressure again today. I will wait until tomorrow to see.

I've been asked to send in my blood pressure reading 3 times now despite sending it on the first request!

I've been asked to send in my blood pressure reading 3 times now despite sending it on the first request!

I am puzzled by a reply from an Associate practitioner today. She eventually says they are happy with my latest reading and I don't need to do another for 6months but then sends me a text which refers to 'continuing with my medication' . I am not on any medication for blood pressure and have never been diagnosed with high blood pressure. Is this a standard text sent to many patients or have they added something incorrect to my records?

The good news is that the prescription for Vagifem has now been sent to Boots.

Perhaps she means continuing with the hrt medication, if that's what the BP check was required for?

. Maybe but she then added a link to a BHF advice page about how to keep my blood pressure down. I hope you are right. I did post them a query about it.

That’s weird! I also had vagifem on repeat prescription but it appears to have dropped off my NHS app  :-\ :(

Here we go! Another phonecall to the doctor to fight for medication! Life is too short to keep dealing with this sh*t every few months!  :(
