Hormone crash mid cycle?
« on: March 15, 2024, 06:59:50 PM »

I went to the doctors today to discuss my blood test results. They were neither high and low low which is useful to know.

It means I’ve been put onto the highest dose of HRT patch that you can get on the NHS and they’ve doubled my progesterone.

There seems to be a cycle within the month where I’m okay for about 10 or 14 days and then it crashes. Then I’m really ill. Hopefully with the extra dose, if it crashes it won’t be so low and I won’t feel as bad. There’s no way of knowing what’s going to happen or how long is it going to go on for. I’ve been signed off work for another month.

Has anyone else experienced this dramatic reduction of hormone levels? During the 2 weeks I’m ill , I am incapacitated by nausea and anxiety.

What do you mean? I was thinking it will help. Taking 1st double dose tonight. I can’t handle any negative news right now so please don’t tell me about problems with progesterone. Thanks.

I mean exactly what I said.  Also HRT can be Trial and Error.

I'm getting confused  :-\ because you have a lot of separate threads - if U continue on the same thread so that people can respond as your queries arise, it's less likely that your queries will become missed.

The subject line can be altered as necessary.
