Hi

and also long cycle HRT where you have a bleed every three months but you'd need close monitoring and regular scans.

Long cycle hrt is usually 6 weeks not 3 months. IMO 3 months is too risky unless it's tridesta which is designed for it.

Hi Peach8, I'm in the same boat with progesterone and went to Newson Health after my GP said that this was all a bit specialist, then wouldn't refer me to the specialist NHS menopause clinic. After a first unsuccessful try with Utrogestan, they advised me to go three months Estrogen only and then try either that or another prog again. I'm now at the end of this period and have been given the option of taking a progesterone only pill alongside the Everol 50 patch - 2 x desogestral. I'm 45 late peri and continuous because of PMS and heavy bleeds.

However it's worth noting that after a long wait, the Slynd POP is now available for use as a contraceptive pill or as the progesterone part of continuous HRT. It contains Drospirenone and is well known to stabilise bleeding. It's been added to the British Menopause Society's guidelines for HRT preparations. Might be worth looking into. I've ordered some as I managed fine on Eloine for years so hoping this prog will be fine for me again.

Best of luck, hope the world is ready for the day when we're all finally on the right progesterone! x
