Mini pill and bleeding
« on: March 04, 2024, 02:20:44 PM »

So I have been taking the mini pill for many years I am turning 42 this month. Now I never bleed on mini pill but for the last 4 weeks I have literally had a period like bleed lasting a day or 2 each week? I have also noticed a few changes with my body such weight gain easily, low mood, disturbed sleep, irritability, anxiety, waking up hot in the night,
My gp has requested a blood test to check for peri menopause but also for ca125 as my mum had ovarian cancer but I am not worried it could be that as not really got any symptoms of that
But just wondered if anybody else experienced the bleeding on mini pill like this when in peri menopause

Sounds like peri-menopause to me from where I'm sitting  ::)

Which blood tests has your GP requested?  MayB keep a mood/food/symptom diary to discuss with her/him next time.

It mayB that your hormones are over-riding the mini pill.  You could put the name of it into the search box to read any threads, make notes ;-).

Don't be told that you are 'too young'!
