Thank you, nice article. I followed the link to look up the urological society guidelines and found the part on probiotics. It looks like there is some positive evidence for some lactobacillus probiotics with L. rhamnosus GR-1, L. reuteri B-54, L. reuteri RC-14, L. casei shirota, and L. crispatus CTV-05 strains, so I’m going to see if I can find them to try out. X

Optibac for women contain two of those strains.

All that confuses me, I don't understand it :-\ , if you find anything that will help prevent utis please can you post back?

Do you use this?  Has it helped stop utis?

I have been taking the optibac for women for several months now. I can’t say whether it has stopped utis as I haven’t had a uti before to test if it is stopping them.

I am just taking them for vaginal
health really as I am using localised hrt.

Hope someone else will answer too.

What does it do in regards to vaginal health?as I take localised hrt too (vagifem).

If you look up the lactobacillus strains that sfreesto has posted further up it will give you some information on benefits of good gut bacteria.

Only got my phone at moment so can’t post any link.
