Utrogestan and mirena coil
« on: January 11, 2024, 06:21:47 PM »

Hi ladies has anyone been given mirena plus utrogestan . I was thinking that my body has been use to 200mg per night then down to nothing . Mirena coil keeps it local. Only given mirena because utrogestan wasn’t keeping womb lining thin.
Thanks any advice would be appreciated.

Plenty of women take the utrogestan alongside mirena.  However many gp's and even gynae's will not prescribe it, as it is not under the recommended guidlelines.  My own said no utrogestan once the coil was in.  I missed it initially but not so much now, a few months later.  I'm still bleeding on the coil which is a nuisance but the utrogestan never controlled bleeding anyway.
