Combining Premarin and Provera
« on: February 02, 2024, 03:07:34 PM »

Hi,
Can anyone help me with their experience of finding the right doses when combining Premarin and Provera?
I have been taking Premarin 1.25 together with Provera 5mg daily for some years. It suits me well apart from some bloating and on occasion anxiety and depression.
My GP wants me to reduce the dose. I briefly took premique 0.625/5mg Provera before it was discontinued. Does anyone take 0.625 Premarin plus 5 mg Provera or 0.625 plus 2.5 mg Provera? I have been in good health in terms of cardiovascular/ blood pressure etc and I am a bit anxious that halving the oestrogen dose may remove or reduce benefits such as bone protection etc. Please can anyone who takes these in combination share their experience please. I am 64 and don’t want to change to another type of HRT.

Isn't Premarin made from horse urine and has been discontinued in the UK because of the health risks? If it is I'd strongly recommend you change to transdermal instead. Sorry, this hasn't answered your question.
