Sad news:

World champion cyclist Rohan Dennis has reportedly been charged by police with causing the death of his wife after she was hit by a car on Saturday.

South Australia Police said a 32-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and died in hospital in Adelaide overnight.

A statement added that a man, 33, had been arrested and charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving without due care and endangering life.

The driver was known to the woman and has been released on bail until March.

It has been widely reported in Australian media that the man and woman are Dennis and his wife Melissa Hoskins.

Dreadful crash 3 days ago on la Dauphnie [sp] involving nearly all the whole peloton!  Several had to abandon at once, a few more others the following day.

3 weeks until le Tour de France  8)

Amazing! And Chris Boardman got a CBE.
Have you seen the podcast/youtube interview of Mark Cavendish with Rich Roll? It’s great.

Hopefully he will relax and take any more sprints 'as they come' rather than trying to break any more records, so that he finishes le Tour without injury  :-*

I doubt that he'll be taking it easy CLKD.
From what he's said and from what (the very lovely 😍) Geraint has said, I can see him trying for a couple more stage wins.

Kudos to Eddie Merckx for applauding Cav breaking his record too.

Shame Pogacar managed to stay upright yesterday when he nearly hit that bollard and caused others to fall by swerving quickly.

Wonder what he's on? And no I don't mean the make of bicycle - remember Lance Armstrong????

That's the skill of these riders, similar to MotoGP.  Instant reactions.  There should have been a Marshall with a flag warning racers that the bollard was there, although they read a map every night B4 the next stage, they cannot be expected to remember every twist and turn.  It's up to those behind to be more aware.  Same today, silly clips of wheels at 30mph and away they go!

I do wonder if Pagacar was even aware of the chaos behind, but hey, that's professional racing.  I am sure that should he know that he would have gone back to have a word .....

Another day done! Time Trial tomorrow  :-\
