Results - kind of
« on: January 12, 2024, 12:05:02 PM »

Hello ladies, just called my consultant secretary again as 3 weeks post hysteroscopy/biopsy I still haven't had any results.  She said they have them, a letter has been typed and they are just waiting for authorisation from the consultant to phone me to give the results so I get them sooner than in post.
But she said not to worry because no news is good news and had there been anything concerning when the biopsy was looked at, they would have phoned me and I'd have been straight in for a consultation.  She said the fact they are writing to me means nothing concerning.
So although I don't yet know the details, I can stop worrying.
Thank you all for your support, its been a huge comfort knowing you all understand  :thankyou:

Awful that you had to wait, of course the NHS higher staff have been on strike more often than not so secretaries are waiting for Consultants/SHOs to sign off reports etc..

Now U can breath!

That sounds like good news. She wouldn’t have told you that if things were not ok.

Thank you ladies. Yep, weight lifted and now just need to see the plan going forward.  But that's a simple thing to wait for.

Great news MrsMitch...so pleased.
Can't believe we started this journey together and I'm still over 2weeks away from even having my biopsy and then an agonising wait for my results.

Thank you . I know I was hoping yours would be about the same time scale as mine but let's hope that means all is OK, eh? You must be worn out waiting so long. It makes me so cross that NHS workers strike while patients suffer. Still hoping for the best for you. And do remember once it's done, if they find anything concerning they will phone you to come in and see the consultant and it will be quick. So as per the original conversation I had about my results,  the longer with no news the better.
I had a call today from the hospital from the consultant secretary giving me the official report of the biopsy which is all clear. No instructions as to what to do re the bleeding which I haven't had (aside from a week after hysteroscopy) for ages now I'm taking 2 Utrogestan at night as the GP originally said I was borderline re the dose of 1 or 2.
So I'll call GP when I'm off work on Friday and see what she thinks I should do now but that said I still need to see a menopause specialist re VA.

Yh I'm not going to lie I am mentally done in now...I'm taking tablets for anxiety for the first time in my life. I have given up with private consultant now as he can't do a biopsy until 16th February. Can't catch a break anywhere.
I honestly don't think they will act quickly if anything is found as my hospital trust (won't name it) seems to be underperforming in all areas,so won't hold out much hope tbh

That's not good, I'm so sorry to hear that. I really feel for you having been through a similar scenario although I know your symptoms are more involved.
The NHS is great when it works but when it works it's a nightmare. Really difficult for you for sure. But not that it helps you in anyway, I am thinking about you, we all are. I wish I could do something to help more.
Try to take it easy if you can, dear lady, my very best wishes for you.

MrsMitch
I've tried messaging you direct. I'm still new to this and don't know if I did it correctly. Can you let me know please.
