Hysteroscopy results time?
« on: December 14, 2023, 03:05:36 PM »

Ladies, can anyone who has had this give me an idea of this please?
I'm having a hysteroscopy under GA Wednesday 20th. How long before I get the results of what they find, including biopsy?
I had the TVS on Tuesday and procedure next week, which will only be 2 weeks post reporting to GP. So this is obviously being done fast, but I'm hoping I haven't got to spend all Christmas wondering what they find.
Thank you all.

I had a hysteroscopy in January and had the results of my biopsy two weeks later. I suspect that you will probably have to wait until early new year for yours, unless different areas have different processing times.

Easier said than done but try to put it to the back of your mind, try to enjoy your Christmas rather than worrying about what the result might be (yeh, I know, so so easy to say!)

They told me 6 weeks to get the results but I got them a lot sooner.

I had to chase and chase and chase the results for mine when I had it done in April this year. I literally called them three or four times. In the end I got them late June, so about 10 weeks for me. I kept telling myself no news was good news. Unfortunately, it’s not unusual for my hospital and I expected problems and delays as it always happens.  :-\

I've just had a phone call from yhe hospital to say my procedure is moved to Friday next week due to strikes.
I'm just grateful it's being done this quickly.

sorry mrs mitch think I've confused you.  The hysteroscopy I mentioned was several years ago.  I'm still waiting to see gynae oncology on the 28th to see what happens next.
Wishing you luck with everything this week
