Night Sweats and Tender Breasts
« on: December 08, 2023, 06:06:56 PM »

Hi everyone

Been trucking along fairly okay for a little while, after years of adjusting types and dosage.

Over the past few nights, my night sweats are back with a vengeance (drenching).

However, my boobs are incredibly tender and my chocolate cravings have returned.

All I can find on the internet tells me that night sweats are caused by low oestrogen and sore boobs by a surge in oestrogen.

Also, low mood and anxiety are back big time. Anxiety waking me in the middle of the night. Low mood most of the day.

Can anyone help me to shed any light on what might be happening please?

Thanks so much for any advice  ???

(I’m 49 and on 1g Sandrena, 50mg Lutigest and 1/8 sachet Testogel daily. Peri since age 40).

Hi Simmy,

If you google low progesterone and night sweats you might find what you are looking for.

The usual dose for continuous progesterone (lutrigest) is 100mg a day. Upping your progesterone should help balance out the oestrogen and relieve your sore boobs.

It might be just a blip and your own oestrogen is having a surge in the background as a last hurrah, or as I say, low progesterone.

Best wishes,
CeCe

Hi CeCe

Thanks so much for your advice.

I’m on the 50mg dose of Lutigest due to progesterone intolerance and a horrendous time on Utrogestan.

But, as the Lutigest seems to agree with me, I think it might be an idea if I try the 100mg dose. I’ll know really quickly if it’s too much.

Thank you again, you’ve really helped me out.
