I have used evorel sequi before but came off due to elevated blood pressure which is now controlled. My GP feels considering my symptoms I should try again. My last period ended over a week ago but I have been told by the GP I can start the patch at any time. Any advice as I thought I had to start within 5 days of my period which is nearly 3 weeks away. Seems a bit of a wait to have to start using it.

I waited until the first day of my period.  I am only a month in and waiting for my first bleed.  Good luck hope they work for you.

The usual advice is to start on day 1 to keep your own cycle in step with the hrt one. As long as you start the conti patches on day 15 it shouldn't matter but then you have the problem of part used boxes.
