Tummy bug
« on: October 31, 2023, 10:14:35 AM »

Is there a tummy bug doing the rounds? I’ve felt washed out, nauseous, tummy cramps , headache and loose stools for a couple of days now.

There's always a bug of some sort doing the rounds.  Do U have contact with small children on a regular basis?

:foryou:   I have iBS so veer from slow transit to sudden small motions on an ASAP basis.  Changing the clocks has the habit of making me feel tired and off colour  >:(

I hate that feeling.  Keep to nothing other than sipping water for half a day to give the digestive tract a rest, boiled cooled water perhaps?  Keep an eye on the colour of your urine which should be pale straw - if dark then the body isn't hydrated enough.

Then migrate to dry toast or biscuits in the evening.

My bowels would alter pre-period, within 10 mins I would have to 'run' or else  >:(.  How bad are the cramps, R U doubled over?

I’m not feeling hungry and thought of food makes me feel sick. Cramping is like period pain and not horrendous. I’m at the end of my period (still light spotting) so it could all be linked to hormones? Feels like morning sickness. Yesterday morning I woke with a really anxious tummy and felt tearful all day.
Going to have a lazy day and hope I feel better tomorrow. I’m such a worrier so any change in bowel habits makes me think of bowel cancer! 😬

It's The Change which includes heightened health anxiety.

If you are at the end of a bleed then yes, it is probably linked.  Certainly I suffered nausea, 'the runs' etc. throughout my menstruating years  >:(

Get those feet up. Plenty of daytime 📺 to watch ;-) and keep hydrated.

Thank you Kellogg’s. Glad you’re feeling better. I’m starting to feel a bit more normal. Tummy still feels sensitive.

Elliebee

I've been run down similarly, but for about 10 days and hence not on here, no energy.

Quite severe headaches and nausea, mild nausea, but after getting it randomly for ten days it grates.  Thankfully it's been gone for 3 days now   :)

Some friends said it was a bug going around.  Others said they'd heard it was covid.  I did a few tests, one was positive but others around it were negative so I'm not sure. And the red line, when I got it, was faint.
