Hi Twinkle82, I'm not really sure how long it's taken - as I started reducing oestrogen after about 10 days (I just don't want a mirena, so stopping the lot) - So probably a couple of weeks to completely get out of the progesterone hangover, and stop having low thoughts and the intrusive type thoughts. I was also waking at 4am for a while, which seems to have stopped in the past couple of days. I hope it improves for you soon - remember, this too shall pass!

Thank you! Definitely need to hear that! I had a mirena about 6 years ago and was fine on it. Second time around after second baby and turning 40, absolutely terrible. Because the prometrium is meant to be body identical I thought I might be ok on it but no! Glad to hear you’ve stopped waking at 4am! That’s a win!
