Marina coil nausea
« on: October 29, 2023, 11:53:55 AM »

Hi,

I had a Marina coil fitted last Monday whilst still taking the combined pill Eloine. Gyneo said it was fine to take the pill for another month or so (with the placebo break) to hopefully settle any bleeding.
Started the placebo break on weds last week (eloine is only 4 days placebo) and since then I’ve felt so sick.. like pregnancy sick.. I’m having a period now and have just started taking the new month of pills today… I got the Marina as part of HrT which I’m hoping to start soon but have no idea when to start the patched…I wasn’t really expecting to continue with the pill ..
thanks for any advice re the nausea and hrt/pill confusion! X

What were you taking The Pill for?

Hormonal nausea is awful, I remember it well  :'(

I am on my second Mirena, both post meno and both times have felt like I had morning sickness for a couple of weeks. I still get the odd day of it from time to time too.

I was on the pill to control heavy periods.. marina seemed the  obvious choice to use as part of my hrt and to hopefully stop bleeding altogether.. so far I’m hating the Marina but it may get better..
good to hear you guys had the nausea too and it’s not just my imagination
