Not bleeding between sequential progesterone cycles
« on: October 27, 2023, 10:47:09 PM »

Hi

I've been using HRT for about 18 months. I use 1g of Sandrena gel daily and use 200mg of utrogestan in the form of a vaginal pessary from days l4 to 26 of my cycle.

When I first started this protocol I started a withdrawal bleed within 1 or 2 days of finishing the utrogestan course. Now it's taking longer and longer. Often 5 or 6 days before any spotting or bleeding starts. This month it's been 6 days since I finished the utrogestan with no sign of any bleeding yet.

Does anyone know why this is happening or what it means? Am I moving closer to menopause or is my body using the utrogestan more effectively and not needing to shed the uterine lining?

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thank you for any advice.

Yes it can happen as you become nearer to being post menopause. Not everyone bleeds on a sequential regime.

If you still have your own cycle it will override the hrt one. My guess is that your own cycle is getting longer.
