Utrogestan for 10 days (just once?!)
« on: October 24, 2023, 09:54:11 PM »

Hello. I have just completed 10 days of Utrogestan, 200mg a day, vaginally. I normally take it for 12 days and bleed heavily 3 days afterwards.
I have a job interview next week. It’s for a really senior role in the city and I really don’t want to be bleeding heavily and worried about flooding during it.
Is it ok just this once to stop at 10 days, in the hope that the worst of it will be over, by my interview?
Any ideas appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi there

I wouldn't think there was any harm in stopping after 10 days for this month. I have stopped at 9 days before once the bleed starts.

Hope that helps and good luck!

I have stopped after 11 days before and still had a good bleed.

I take 100mg utrogestran for 25 days and have a 3 day break. Bleeding is so much lighter. My doctor suggested the switch because of heavy bleeding.

Definitely do it!  It really won't do you any harm at all and I certainly would not want to have to think about a very heavy bleed (and the very idea of getting stuck on the tube with no toilet) if I had an important interview in the city.

Good luck with the interview.
