Alternative therapy
« on: October 19, 2023, 10:32:01 AM »

Hello

I was just wondering if anyone has any regular alternative therapy that they find helpful for symptoms like reflexology, acupuncture, therapy etc?....or have you tried anything like this?

Being bedbound and unable to tolerate medication/HRT etc.....I'm trying to be proactive or think of things I might be able to look into.

I was wondering if I could try a mobile therapist to help with symptoms but obvs it costs alot and thought I'd see if anyone had any experiences?

Thank you xx

Good question.  MayB contact a physiotherapist interested in womens health?  To see how much home visits might cost?

There are often therapists attached to leisure centres.

In the first instance I would recommend quadriceps exercises, now there's a word of the day  ;D.  The 1st muscles to weaken when someone lacks mobility R the thighs.

I know also that residents in the care sector are encouraged to do exercises whilst sitting in a chair - a group has started in our village  :o  :-\.  Music, movement and mime - in our 1960s school lessons  :D
