Halved oestrogen- feel bad
« on: August 27, 2023, 10:11:38 AM »

I was on 2mg Sandrena with cyclical Utrogestan and various testosterone products depending what was in stock. I started sleeping really badly and eventually went private and got oestrogen etc tested. It was 1,111 pmol/l so I was told by a Newson doc to halve to 1mg Sandrena. That was about a month ago and I’m really not feeling good emotionally. Anxious and tearful and the old insomnia is back. I do feel good physically. I’m a healthy weight and exercise regularly.
I was also advised to start utrogestan daily (I’m 54) but abandoned that recently because I thought it might be the cause of my downwards mental turn.
I’m also now on daily Androfemme which I’m hoping will be better and more consistent than taking the stronger stuff (Testogel) a couple of times a week (which caused my levels to crash).
Are my emotional issues a normal and temporary result of halving the oestrogen? Are things likely to settle? I’m starting back on my very stressful job after a summer break. My elderly parents are a huge worry. I’m worried I won’t be able to cope.
