Hi All,

Meno consultant prescribed Testovan as there seems to be shortages here with Tostran and some other brands.
First time starting Testosterone so wondering if anyone else is using it? If so,  how are you getting on?
Couldn’t find it in search box anywhere.

On another note, it turns out my estrogen is way too high. Likely due to last minute party by ovaries so reducing Lenzetto, hopefully it won’t take too long to fall?

My symptoms were mostly the same as low but I wasn’t getting flushes or night sweats so knew something was off. The symptoms crept in slowly over the last 5 months.

Shedding hair
Swollen sore breasts
Return of monthly bleed
Insomnia/early waking
Irritated
No libido
Dry skin
Unexplained itching/hives all over
Weight fluctuations

Thyroid/celiac tests were fine, initially thought there was an issue with Prog but hopefully now found the culprit.

Do you suspect you have high estrogen?

Well I'm not sure if my estrogen levels are high or not.

I'm on 3 pumps of gel and 100mg cyclogest. But I have put a ton of weight on and I know that will increase my estrogen levels as I will be getting estrone from my fat cells. My boobs have been sore and for the last couple of days I've felt wired.

Thing is it's so difficult to know if it's high estrogen or not, as I don't really want to reduce my gel if it's not that. I've had no breakthrough bleeds or anything xxx

It’s tricky I know, as I was doing nicely on 3/2 sprays of Lenzetto and 100mg Cyclogest for months but slowly more symptoms appeared.

I got my blood estradiol levels checked which are 1390! The blood test can be inaccurate due to being peri but think in my case it’s right.
You could get bloods done if you don’t want to reduce gel?

well i have the nurse at our doctors ringing me today to arrange a blood test. shes supposed to be our "menopause specialist" i use the term loosely as shes hopeless but hopefully she'll arrange that for me.

im post meno and im also on 100mg cyclogest. over the past few weeks my sleep has been great but the last few days its started with me taking ages to fall asleep again and early waking.

my boobs are tender so im not sure if my gel needs adjusting or not x

Your symptoms are of low Estrogen, I have those symptoms too apart from sore boobs. As my skin has got drier I have for the last 12 months have eczema very itchy skin and overall dryness.  I am peri with wild fluctuations and blood tests are useless.  The dose of Lenzetto you were on would be giving very little Estradiol, 3 sprays is roughly equivalent to just less than half a 50mg patch so you may get 60 -150 pmol out of your dose but studies I have seen state it can give much leads than that, it also depends how much you absorb.
