Chocolate tastes
« on: July 12, 2023, 06:59:39 PM »

Watching Greg Wallace on 📺  in York this evening, making his own chocolate bar - has any1 met a person who doesn't actually like chocolate ?

My go-to currently is a finger of 'Twirl' for pudding.

Lindt is my go to choccie bar just now, any of the dark ones with bits in (raspberry, orange, honeycomb, caramel etc). Drooling now!

Novi italian chocolate not too sweet and with whole hazlenuts in their nut one.

Used to bring bars back from holidays.  Not had any since M&S seemed to take it off the shelves a while ago but i haven't looked lately.

Ok. Here goes. I don't actually like chocolate  ::)

I don't like and do not ever buy chocolate ice cream, chocolate milkshakes etc

I mean, I'll have it mixed as an addition WITH other stuff, like on a biscuit or dessert and such like but not ever as the main ingredient - and I could not ever eat a bar of just chocolate.

I guess I'm weird!

(I DO love Ferrero Rocher though  :D

I no longer have caffeine but when I did my favourite chocolate was Hotel Chocolat and Venchi.

I have never liked chocolate in any other form such as ice cream, cake etc. You are not alone Clovie. :)

I’m a chocoholic, but can’t eat it as it doesn’t like me!  :'( Still on the bright side, I have lost a few unwanted pounds! :)

Any chocolate except Cadburys. Although I do love Lindt excellence mint,  oh and a good praline!
If at home tho, happy with Galaxy and a bag of salt and vinegar crisps. My go to snack when I was a teenager, along with a can of coke 🙈. Doesn't really happen these days.

Oh don't, I have the hygienist next week and follow up dentist the week after, she wants to take x rays as I have been clenching my teeth at night and may need some fillings replaced 😱

Lindt truffles all day long- salted caramel and 70% dark are my faves. There used to be an Irish Cream flavour but it was discontinued a while ago :'(  I prefer dark over semi-sweet or milk chocolate, I like that little bit of bitterness.
I like Curly Whirlys too (I knew them as Wig Wags) but the only place I can find them is at our local British store.

Because the clenching has cracked a couple of teeth that were already filled and weakened. Only started the clenching since on citalopram. Apparently a known side effect. I didn't know. I can't read every information leaflet or I'd be too scared to take anything.
