Higher levels of Oestrogen
« on: June 28, 2023, 07:22:20 PM »

I had a hysterectomy 8 weeks ago for severe Progesterone Intolerance. I am still taking 4 sprays of Lenzetto Oestrogen but all my menopausal symptoms are back including awful joint pain, mood swings, itchy skin.  I was with the NHS Menopausal Clinic before the operation but they took me off of their list when I had the operation and asked for another GP referral before seeing me again.  In the meantime and pretty desperate I had a consultation with the Newson Clinic today who suggested I have various blood tests for Oestrogen and Testosterone and then increase Lenzetto to 6 sprays a day which is the equivalent to 150 Oestradiol daily.  Anyone had a high dose of Oestradiol please?

Hi
I think 3 sprays of lenzetto is only equivalent to a 50 dose patc; so 6 sprays equating to 100.

It’s quite weak stuff in my opinion and not of good quality.

It may be that you need a different type of oestrogen to manage your symptoms more effectively? Some women who have had a hysterectomy, require larger doses, under the guidance of a meno specialist.

Best of luck 😄

Nas - the Menopause Specialist at Newson told me today 6 sprays was equivalent to 150.  Lenzetto is the only one I have ever been able to absorb and I have used gel and patches.

It probably doesn't matter what it equals because we all absorb this stuff differently. Whatever it equals, it sounds like you need a lot more  :'(  If you're with Newson you'll be fine as they'll prescribe whatever it is you need :)
